Company marks Pride Month with … free harnesses & jockstraps?

The Pride merch keeps selling out!

Streamer Tubi is known for offering a huge array of LGBTQ+ content.

That said, many online were unprepared for it to drop a range of free merchandise for Pride Month… or what the range would include.

News of the collection first emerged last week when designer and creative director Cole Poska shared it. He says Tubi approached him to produce a strictly limited-edition range.

He came up with T-shirts featuring slogans such as “I got my A$$ ate while watching a Tubi original” and “You can watch for free”, and a tank top with “Proud Tubi Gay” (i.e, ‘proud to be gay’ – geddit?). Then there is a jockstrap with the word ‘Free’ written on its waistband, and a yellow Tubi harness.

How about we take this to the next level?

The first range of merchandise dropped last week at proudtubigay.com. The entire range was snapped up within hours.

It proved so popular, Tubi issued another drop of free merchandise yesterday. It, too, flew off the digital racks almost immediately.

Online, many frustrated purchasers were left wondering exactly how limited the drop was.

On X, a few people raised an eyebrow at the fact that Tubi is owned by Fox Corporation, which also owns Fox News.

Fox acquired Tubi in 2020, and the streamer and Fox News operate as separate, independent divisions under the Fox umbrella.

Given the popularity of the first two drops, don’t be surprised if a third arrives before the end of the month. To maximize your chances of obtaining an item, you’re probably best turning on notifications for Tubi’s social media accounts for forewarning.
