Ew, gross! Dude rage-quits Netflix after claiming every show is “gay p*rn”, becomes an instant meme
OK, sure, Jan.

Breaking news: A new target of conservative cancel culture just dropped, and its “tudum” has got right-wingers clutching their pearls.
Over the weekend, conservative commentator Jeff Younger fired up the internet when he took to social media and shared that he was canceling his Netflix subscription.
Because, and we quote, “every show starts normal, then turns into gay p*rn.” OK, sure, Jan.
How about we take this to the next level?

Obviously, the initial post (which has since been viewed more than 6.3 million times) is a classic example of unimaginative Republican anti-woke propaganda designed to anger the LGBTQ+ community and stir up support from right-wing trolls on Twitter X.
And we should certainly consider the source: Younger hosts a highly unwatched show on YouTube for “young men who want to think clearly and live with strength,” and previously went on a press tour to try and stop his child from transitioning. Ew.
But the most ridiculous part is that he’s not referring to Heated Rivalry — the adult-geared, gay hockey romance currently streaming on HBO Max — which, to be fair, edges on steamy enough to twist conservatives’ panties in a knot.
His soapbox-cancellation tweet referred to Netflix’s mega-popular sci-fi series Stranger Things.
Which, last time we checked, contains absolutely zero gay sex scenes.
While Stranger Things does, in fact, feature a handful of LGBTQ+ characters, including Robin Buckley (Maya Hawke) and Will Byers (Noah Schnapp), their sexualities play minor roles in the grand scheme of the series.
Nothing in the family-geared program edges anywhere near the lines of “gay p*rn,” as Younger described it, and to make that type of suggestion about this show in particular is an especially deranged point of view.
Although Younger’s rebuttals to dissenting comments clarified that.
“Now you know how I feel when I’m subjected to watching heterosexual couples kiss on any TV [program] I might watch on Netflix or elsewhere,” one queer user wrote in response.
Younger fired back: “Heterosexuality is normal. Gay isn’t.” Give us a break!
Thankfully, the majority of users on Twitter X saw through the lunacy of Younger’s clickbait and chimed in with trolling of equal measure.
“Just subscribed to Netflix,” one commenter responded, while another joked, “Disgusting!!! Make a list pls I need to know which shows to avoid.” (We see what you did there!)
Of course, we sincerely hope Younger had a chance to read some of the more creative responses, like those that insinuated, perhaps, he himself is confusing Netflix for actual gay p*rn, and that maybe he should try a show with a more “Christ-centered theme” like Heated Rivalry. LOL.
Still, Younger’s grievance couldn’t have come at a more ironic time.
According to GLAAD’s 2025 Where We Are on TV report, LGBTQ+ representation is about to take a serious hit as nearly 50% of all queer characters will disappear from our screens next year “due to series cancellations, endings, or limited series formats.”
Considering Deadline dubbed it “a dangerous precedent,” perhaps Younger shouldn’t read into his trolling comments too much.
If there really is gay p*rn on Netflix, can he please point us to the exact title? Because, right now, we, as a community, are seeing a whole lot of nothing.
