Fitness influencer Tyler James shows off the results of his “de-twinkified” chest

This speedo season, Tyler James is here to help.

Tyler James is here to help skinny boys de-twinkify their chests.

A few years ago, the L.A.-based influencer and fashionista sported washboard abs and an athletic, lean upper-body. Though James was perfectly ripped, he gave off more “baby boy” vibes than bodybuilder.

With six easy workouts, he’s changed that. James recently revealed chest-pumping routine on Instagram, and it’s very doable! “I get so many questions about my chest,” he says at the top of the video.

He proceeds to show off the answers, step-by-step. They involve a chest press machine, free weights and a simple bench to sit on. To achieve chiseled chest status, one doesn’t need to shell out hundreds of dollars per month for a luxury fitness studio. All of these items can be found in any run-of-the-mill gym.

James’ results, however, are anything but…

Born as Tyler McKnight, we’ve been following James’ gains for some time now. The Atlanta native moved to L.A. last year, where he’s been able to embrace himself as an out gay man. That wasn’t always the case when he was down South. James felt like his multiple identities were constrictive.

“That was my main challenge–navigating the restraints that come with being a black gay male in the Georgia suburbs,” he told Shoutout Atlanta. “I played sports, which I hated deep down.”

Though James may loathe sports, he sure loves fitness. But unlike the toxic manosphere crowd, he doesn’t film himself waking up at 4:30 a.m. for cold plunges or decompressing in his sterile luxury apartment. With his smart style and suave demeanor, James may seem like he’s a cut above. His methods, however, are totally relatable.

See? Easy!

We could watch this influencer get dressed again & again & again…
We have a feeling that Tyler McKnight is going to be keep us parched all summer long…

With speedo season upon us, we want to stress that there’s nothing wrong with sporting a twink build, a bulky build or anything in between. When talking about “de-twinkifying,” it’s important to note that James isn’t being derogatory.

He’s being candid, and a bit self-deprecating. We have no doubt that tons of gays inquire about his bench press… along with other things. But don’t think that James is giving everything away for free.

When preparing last month to head to a drum circle in Maui, he mentioned the event was happening at a clothing-optional beach. It didn’t sound like he would be stripping down. “I’m sorry, but you have to pay for that,” he said. “Kidding!”

With a day job in finance, James’ day-to-day wear is more business casual than provocative. He’s a sleek dresser, often opting for a lightweight polo with texture and linen pants. “I just love to imagine that I’m spending summer in the Hamptons,” he adds.

James, who’s in his late 20s, shows that one doesn’t have to be ostentatious to get noticed. Yes, he dresses great and is super attractive. But he’s not performative about it.

“One year in LA am I a pos yet?,” he asked on IG, underneath a carousal that includes plenty pics of him in cool shades and a tasty-looking matcha.

From our vantage point, the answer to that inquiry is “no.” When it comes to describing James, there’s one adjective that’s universal.

“I have nothing to add to this other than you’re hot asf,” added a particularly thirsty commenter.

He better stop panting, or else James might have to put him in a sleeper hold. We imagine his pecs would be protruding.
