With rainbow flags, hats and banners on display, Guam opened Pride Month Monday morning with a proclamation ceremony and flag raising at the Ricardo J. Bordallo Governor’s Complex in Adelup. It marks the start of a monthlong observance focused on inclusion, visibility and community support.

Tenorio, who made history in 2018 as the first openly gay lieutenant governor on the island, joined the ceremony as the administration renewed its commitment to LGBTQ+ visibility in public life.
