Here’s all the cool things happening to trans artists this week…
Trans creativity is unstoppable right now.

In case you’ve been living under an actual rock, you’ve probably sensed that trans people aren’t having the best time right now—and by “best time” I mean two years and counting of living inside Mordor. As midterm attacks ramp up, the anti-trans rhetoric is flying while a desperate GOP continues to blame us for the problems they’ve created themselves.
But! There’s always some quieter good news behind the vicious anti-trans headlines. Poet KB Brookins does the wonderful work of reminding us of this regularly on TikTok, and we are forever in their debt!
But let’s take a minute to focus on what trans artists are up to. Because even though the world loves to silence us, we’re still making our presence known through books, movies, music, one-woman shows, and runways.
How about we take this to the next level?

And to top it all off, Mamdani just announced a $9 million gender-affirming care fund for trans youth in New York City.
None of this means it’s not still rough to wake up every morning in this timeline. But it is a reminder that trans artists are going to keep making trans art, come hell or high water.
