NFL legend says his ‘accidental’ Instagram Live sex show wasn’t in response to gay rumors
Shannon Sharpe has been followed by gay rumors for years. Still, he says his Instagram Live sex broadcast wasn't in response to that. The post NFL legend says his ‘accidental’ Instagram Live sex show wasn’t in response to gay rumors appeared first on Outsports.
Shannon Sharpe was left explaining to his audience on Wednesday why (and frankly how) in the world he streamed audio of him having sex with a woman on Instagram Live.
Sharpe chatted with fellow former NFL superstar Chad Ochocinco Johnson on his Nightcap show about the incident.
The Hall of Fame tight end explained that, when he tossed his phone on the bed, it somehow started an Instagram Live broadcast. Even though Sharpe said he’d never used IG Live.
A few minutes into the conversation, they dug into the gay stuff.

Sharpe, Johnson, and apparently comedian Kat Williams (who had called Sharpe minutes before), all had fun with the episode, throwing in a dose of gay rumors and homophobia for good measure.
“You ain’t gay today,” Williams apparently told Sharpe. The two-time Super Bowl champion has been followed by rumors and speculation that he’s gay for a while. In fact, some people wondered if Sharpe had staged the entire thing purposefully, so people would hear him having sex with a woman to throw off the gay rumors.
Johnson, for his part, thinks that calling someone “gay” is character destruction.
“You remember all the people talking trash and saying whatever they had to say, trying to assassinate your character, that you might be this, you might be this, so hell, it was a Michelle, not a Michael.”
It’s telling how he sees the perception of being gay, that it destroys someone’s character. Of course, it does not, but that’s how he and his crew feel.
Johnson went on, explaining how happy he was that his friend, Sharpe, wasn’t hooking up with a dude.
“I was still a little upset, I was a little hurt. But the fact that it was a Michelle and not a Michael… that’s my dog.”
Sharpe chuckled. “There’s never been a Michael.”

Jerry Smith held an NFL scoring record for 27 years. He has been largely ignored by the Hall Of Fame. 2020 is the year to correct that.
Despite his claims, some people are still wondering.
Yes, they’re two guys having fun and making light of what — if it truly was an accident — has surely been a tough time for Sharpe. And Johnson is always there for a laugh. Even if it’s at the expense of gay rumors.
