Nice butts, boots & baby gender reveals: 10 things we’re obsessed with this week
Flicks, fragrances, and flamboyance!

The first month of 2026 is done and dusted, which is appropriate because we’re finally ready to go out again after ringing in New Queer’s Year’s Eve.
Of course, turning the calendar to February is a sobering reminder of all the resolutions we planned to tackle this year. But thankfully, the past week in LGBTQ+ news has offered us plenty of distractions.
How about we take this to the next level?

Not only did Hudson Williams meet (and straddle) Mark Carney, but Michael Urie talked Shrinking, Liza Minnelli channeled Rihanna, and Brian Sims went full Nasty Pig.
Plus, Diplo went to the gay bar, Pillion sparked discourse, and Taylor Zakhar Perez showed us his crocodile.
On top of that, there have been tons of flicks, fragrances, and flamboyance for us to sink our teeth into.
Without further ado, we present the 10 things we’re obsessed with this week…
1. Scentbird’s Drag Race-inspired collection

If there are two things the gays don’t play about, it’s drag queens and fragrances, which is why this new collaboration between RuPaul’s Drag Race and Scentbird feels especially appropriate. In honor of Season 18’s unapologetic and vibrant contestants, the scent experts curated the new Yasss Queens! Collection, containing their most sophisticated, fun, and, yes, a little bit fruity, unisex options, guaranteed to give runway energy.
My personal favorites are the warm and spicy Intention by The Phluid Project ($4.95-$21.95), Dirty Peach by Heretic Parfum ($4.95-$21.95), which smells like the first day of summer, and Steamed Rainbow by DS & Durga ($6.95-$31.95), which contains hints of every color of the rainbow.
2. This especially cheeky ashtray

There’s never a bad time to hear that you’ve got a “nice butt,” and now you can be complimented ad nauseam via this adorable ceramic ashtray, on sale for $10 at Urban Outfitters. Whether you smoke, toke, or just like pretty things, it’s the type of coffee-table accessory you (and your rear end) deserve.
3. Scott and Mark Hoying’s gender reveal music video
Gender reveal parties are sooo last year. Instead of the traditional pink or blue balloon drop, Scott and Mark Hoying opted for a big-budget, La La Land-inspired music video to announce their new bundle of joy’s sex, and it’s as delightful and over-the-top as you’d expect.
Of course, you’ll have to watch the whole clip to get the answer, but I am expecting a full, two-act Broadway musical by the time their kid turns three.
4. If I Had Legs I’d Kick You
The less you know going into Mary Bronstein’s psychological comedy-horror-drama, If I Had Legs I’d Kick You — now streaming on HBO Max — the better. The film follows a mother struggling to balance her job, relationship, and caring for her daughter who has a feeding disorder, all while her house literally falls apart.
Squeamish viewers beware, but let’s just say there’s a good reason why Rose Byrne scored a Golden Globe and an Academy Award nomination for her leading role.
5. Little Miss Sunshine Long Sleeve T-Shirt

I can’t quite figure out the math: How is Little Miss Sunshine celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2026, but I haven’t aged a year?! JK.
It’s been two decades since the little Sundance indie-comedy that could premiered, introducing us to a dysfunctional family (comprised of Greg Kinnear, Steve Carell, Toni Collette, and Paul Dano) with big pageant-queen hopes for the youngest daughter, Olive, portrayed by Abigail Breslin.
For some reason, whether it’s the film’s themes of depression and self-acceptance or that wild concluding dance number, Little Miss Sunshine has always resonated with the queer community. So obviously, this hilarious 20th anniversary long-sleeved tee ($52 from Searchlight Pictures’ online store) was an instant add-to-cart.
6. Teddy Geiger revisits a classic

Talk about a blast from the past! In a recent TikTok, trans singer-songwriter Teddy Geiger revisited “For You I Will (Confidence)”, the 2006 alt-pop single that put her on the map, before she transitioned.
Twenty years later, Geiger’s lyrics are just as relatable, and her voice is just as vulnerable, despite a presumedly complicated relationship to the gold-certified single. (As of 2024, it was removed from both streaming services and YouTube.) Needless to say, the comment section was filled with pleas for a much-needed re-release ASAP.
7. Robert Rausch selling us stuff in overalls
IDC what Traitors and Love Island hunk Robert Rausch is selling. If he’s wearing nothing but those overalls and smiling, I will be buying. Well played, Sonic.
8. Timberland Westmore Chukka Boots

As a gay man, I say “the house down boots” at least once an hour, but when it comes to actual boots, I’ve never been a huge fan. Then, I discovered the Timberland Westmore Chukka Boots — available for $99 on DSW — and everything changed.
Thanks to these lightweight, stylish, and leather bad boys, not even last week’s foot of snow in New York City was able to stop me from my daily pilgrimage to get an iced coffee. Yes, iced — my dry feet might be giving “masc,” but I’m still gay after all!
9. West End Girl on vinyl, or, erm, USB

Finally, the album that gagged gays across the globe is available on vinyl. Last year, Lily Allen surprise-dropped West End Girl, a candid divorce album that spilled the tea on her relationship with David Harbour, complete with catchy one-liners (“Who’s Madeline?”), cheeky feline-named residences, and some surprising references to butt plugs.
Needless to say, it’s a must-own and available for just $27.98 on Amazon. Although if you don’t have a record player, the singer is also selling it on an, erm, rather interestingly shaped USB for $32.99 on her website. Although, as a safety note warns buyers, it’s “intended for data storage only.” LOL.
10. The cast for Broadway’s Rocky Horror Show
As if casting Luke Evans to play Dr. Frank-N-Furter wasn’t inspired enough, the upcoming Broadway production of The Rocky Horror Show revealed the rest of its primary cast this week, and it’s nothing short of iconic.
Between Josh Rivera, Juliette Lewis, Harvey Guillén, Michaela Jaé, Anaia, Stephanie Hsu, and Rachel Dratch, I’m more than ready to do the “Time Warp” again. Thankfully, we won’t have to shiver with anticipation much longer; the production opens on March 26.
