You can rent Kamala Harris’ old apartment in San Francisco on Airbnb
But be prepared to stay for a while. It's only available for a month at a time.
Airbnb has some affordable options. Others would be luxurious choices. Some are quirky.
But what about the Vice President’s former San Francisco condo? That’s novel.
Zhengtao Ji owns Kamala Harris’ former home in the South Market district. He didn’t know she owned the condo until he expressed interest in the property.
It’s not a big space or luxurious. It doesn’t have great views of landmarks like the Golden Gate Bridge. It’s a one-bedroom with a lovely view of a neighboring building’s wall located off a small alley.
But for at least $6,000 a month, you can cook in the same kitchen where Doug Emhoff proposed to the Vice President. Due to San Francisco’s stringent short-term rental laws, the property must be rented for at least a month.
“She seemed to be a simple person,” current guest Lata Setty told the New York Times. “I mean, look at the view.”
“You can change the comforter, but you can’t change the view.”
She hosted a watch party for the recent debate between Harris and Donald Trump. After Harris mentioned that she owned a gun, someone shouted out, “Hey, oh! Check the house!”
