China First! Pete Hegseth’s wife abandons MAGA for a $14 Temu dress

Never mind failed security breaches and attempted assassinations, the real scandal at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner was Pete Hegseth’s wife complete abandonment of America First for a fashion bargain.

On Saturday night, prior to the event’s cancellation due to a gunman charging through extremely lax security, members of the press and the convicted felon president’s administration flaunted for the cameras in their red carpet finery.

Often referred to as the “nerd prom,” the WHCD isn’t known for being the cutting edge of style. That being said, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth’s wife Jennifer Rauchet’s very curious sartorial choice is now creating even more WH chaos for wearing an anti-MAGA gown.

As if being married to the former-Fox News weekend co-host wasn’t painful enough, she’s now being accused of turning up to the gala in a $14 dress from fast-fashion giant Temu. Hush your mouth!

On social media, many started sharing images of the Temu version looking very similar to the off-the-shoulder champagne-colored gown worn by Mrs. Hegseth.

While the Dailly Mail reported the garment has since been taken off the site, similar versions can be found at competitor brands like Shein, but at a price of upwards of $42.

Although Hegseth’s wife has yet to confirm or deny who made her dress, right-wingers immediately jumped in to defend her frugal honor.

While the red hat mafia might think the mockery was over Hegseth’s wife opting for a thrifty dress over designer couture, that isn’t the case.

The real scandal is that companies like Temu and Shein are Chinese-owned and have faced accusations of
extremely poor labor conditions, severe environmental impact due to waste, and stealing intellectual property from independent designers.

And more importantly, MAGA loons like Hegseth claim to be America First and push isolationism, yet turn around and support our biggest manufacturing and geo-political adversary.

Choosing American designers would seem like an obvious choice for the so-called “patriot” bigwigs of Tr*mp’s MAGA cult, but that is clearly not the case.

Even model-turned-first-lady Melania rarely wears American-made gowns and turned up to the WHCD in a black tux by controversial Italian fashion house Dolce & Gabbana. But what do you expect as even most of her husband’s MAGA merch is made in China.

Meanwhile, Hegseth’s WH tenure has been mired in scandal since day one with Signal-gate, a slew of high-profile military firings, accusations of insider trading and profiting off the war in Iran, among many, many other things. Chalk up this low-rent polyester frock to his long list of indecencies.

So what have we learned? MAGA are hypocrites and Jennifer Rauchet likes cheap things. Now if only we could find a way to return Pete Hegseth …
