Don Lemon torched the Tr*mp administration & is now pulling a bigger audience than ever

The Tr*mp administration tried to silence Don Lemon. Instead, they made him more popular than ever.

The Tr*mp administration tried to intimidate Don Lemon into silence. Instead, they only made pugnacious commentator more popular.

FBI agents arrested Lemon last week in L.A. while he was covering the Grammy Awards. The administration targeted Lemon for covering an anti-ICE protest at a church in Minneapolis. Protesters gathered at the church because one of the pastors leads a local ICE field office.

In total, nine people, including another journalist, were indicted on charges for interrupting a church service.

The cases are all flimsy. Two federal judges declined to sign a warrant for Lemon’s arrest before a grand jury delivered an indictment. He pleaded not guilty and was released last Friday without bail.

The out anchor didn’t waste any time calling out the administration for violating his First Amendment rights. “I have spent my entire career covering the news. I will not stop now,” he said.

A week later, Lemon, who was ousted from CNN in 2023 and hosts his own YouTube channel, is reaching a bigger audience than ever. His channel has added more than 100,000 subscribers since his arrest, putting him well over the 1 million mark.

In recent days, Lemon has interviewed some of the biggest names in the Democratic Party, AOC and Senators Elizabeth Warren and Raphael Warnock.

AOC addressed Lemon’s husband, Tim Malone, during her appearance. The couple was photographed holding hands while Lemon was leaving court.

“I just want to commend the bravery of both of you,” she said. “You are the envy of everyone.”

The DOJ is trying to make an example out of Don Lemon but it’s not gonna work
They keep trying, but they won’t succeed

During an appearance this week with Jimmy Kimmel, whom Tr*mp’s FCC tried and failed to take off the air, Lemon described how a dozen FBI agents swarmed him at his hotel.

“They want to embarrass you. They want to intimidate you,” he said. “They want to install fear.”

Lemon added he was denied a phone call. He says his husband only found out about his arrest because an FBI agent returned Lemon’s bracelet to his hotel room.

“Otherwise, nobody would’ve known where I was,” he said.

Despite the administration’s efforts, it’s apparent that Lemon wasn’t instilled with fear. He’s gone right back to hitting Tr*mp hard, over his deep ties to Jeffrey Epstein and an abhorrent, racist meme he posted of Barack and Michelle Obama.

“D*nald T*ump has cheated on every wife that he has had. Slept with a p*rn star,” he said. “Was having an affair while his wife had an infant. Is all over the Epstein Files for God knows what. And he has the nerve to call people a sleazebag? You’re the sleazebag!”

For years, Lemon has been one of the few mainstream pundits unafraid to call Tr*mp’s racist dogwhistles exactly what they are.

Contrary to the DOJ’s claims, Lemon was doing journalism at the Minneapolis church. He was one of the few streamers on the ground and provided people with a first hand view of the highly publicized demonstration.

Lemon spoke to protesters and practitioners alike, presenting a nuanced view of the chaos.

That’s the definition of journalism, just like the Tr*mp administration’s overreach is the definition of desperation. As we expected, Don Lemon is just fine.

I’m OK. I’m not going to let them steal my joy, but this is very serious.
