These days, Dallas is an out 42-year-old actor who shares two kids with husband Blue Hamilton.

However, he first rose to fame playing a teen on the 2006 sci-fi series Kyle XY, where his character infamously sported a belly button-less torso.

The mid-aughts were wild.

Recently, Dallas underwent a fitness makeover to address some extra lbs. he put on working on a film and the results are impressive.

On July 19th, he began a new workout routine and shared the news in an Instagram post.

“Gained a little weight for a movie, now my gym fits have a little more thigh meat. Starting a new chapter,” he captioned a video as he began working with trainer Dermot Duffy. “honestly not so much just to loose the extra weight, but to feel strong, clear headed, ok and maybe a little sexy. Week 1, let’s go…”

After two months of structured workouts and reorganizing his meals, Dallas’ trainer gave an update on his progress.

“Now only 8 weeks in, Matt’s in unreal shape. Stronger. Leaner. More consistent than he’s been in year,” Duffy wrote. “Funny thing is—he mentioned before starting, ‘I’m in my 40s now… maybe the fat just sticks more.'”

He added: “Turns out it wasn’t age—it was just a plan that actually fit his life.”

Bam!

Over the weekend, Dallas gave his own fitness update by sharing a shirtless pic with his ripped six-pack and buff pecs on full display.

“Dad wants to know if you got your weekend chores done,” he captioned the snap outside in his backyard.

Yes, Sir!

While it’s unclear what film Dallas was working on which required he put on weight, he’s been busy the last 10 months on the festival circuit promoting his film Sheepdog.

Co-starring Steven Grayhm, Virginia Madsen and Vondie Curtis Hall, the film explores the physical and psychological repercussions of trauma, with a focus on Post Traumatic Growth (PTG).

In his personal life, Dallas, who came out in 2013, has been happily married to husband Blue Hamilton since 2015.

Hamilton is a photographer and musician and most recently released a cover of Cher’s 1989 hit “Just Like Jesse James.”

Shortly after tying the knot, the husbands announced they had adopted a two-year-old boy, Crow.

In 2022, the couple adopted their daughter Rosa, who was eight at the time.

The party of four is one big bundle of love.

With their matching His & His abs, Dallas and Hamilton now look to be in excellent shape to keep up with their busy careers and even busier kids.
