Inside Andy Cohen’s gorgeous custom-built Hamptons beach house
Andy Cohen opens up his dream beach house for inspection.

Andy Cohen is the latest celebrity to allow Architectural Digest to enjoy a poke around one of his homes. On this occasion, the outlet visited his custom-built beach home in the Hamptons. He spends much of his summer there.
Cohen said he’s long been a fan of beach vacations. Prior to acquiring this property, he used to rent a house on Noyac Bay for nearly three decades in order to have somewhere to escape in the warmer months.

Then, seven years ago, a rare vacant plot on the beach came up for sale. Cohen bought it and worked with architect Gordon Kahn and interior designer Jackie Greenberg (a lifelong friend from his childhood days in Missouri) to create his dream beach house.
The beautiful, four-bedroom property, with its mix of indoor and outdoor rooms, offers plenty of space for Cohen and his children, Benjamin and Lucy.
Cohen’s bedroom features a bed with a huge headboard and Andy Warhol-decorated wallpaper. Sentimental touches include needlepoint pillows by Cohen’s mom in the guest room (with another huge headboard).
Although the house appears conservative from the outside, explosions of color can be seen throughout the interior, including the eye-catching mosaic tiles in the bathroom.
“Before coming to the Hamptons, I could never relax enough to nap,” Cohen says. “This is the place where I have learned to recharge.”
He says he likes to start and end the day with a dip in the ocean. Between times, you’ll often find him in his jacuzzi – or enjoying his outdoor shower.

New man in his life
Of course, it’s probably not just Cohen and his kids who spend time at the stunning beachfront property. Earlier this month, Cohen confirmed that he’s been dating finance executive Kevin Sobieski since last July. The men actually met in the Hamptons at a mutual friend’s 4th of July party last year.
“And I saw him from across the party,” Cohen recounted on his Sirius radio show. “I almost didn’t go to the party … I never get invited to gay parties in the Hamptons anymore. And I was like, ‘You know what? Let me just go.’ I went… and I was like, ‘I gotta talk to this guy. Who is this guy?’ And I went, we talked all night.
“I very methodically put my number in his phone,” Cohen continued. “Apparently, I said to him twice that night, I want to make sure this number is right. He said, ‘I knew you were serious when you were really, like, serious about this number. Why wouldn’t the number have been right?’ I just wanted to make sure that I put it in right.”
Cohen went on to praise Sobieski.
“This man is kind and strong and smart, and he’s an adult, and he loves my children. And they love him. And I love him. We have been so slow and deliberate, and methodical about getting to know each other, and introducing him to the kids, and just entering him into the equation of my family so slowly. And I have to say, it has been so easy.”
“I really am happy. I can’t believe I found this guy. I’m in shock.”
