Throughout his career, Los Angeles Dodgers utilityman/cult hero Kiké Hernández has shown a remarkable ability to make the gays sit up and take notice.
Six years ago, he demonstrated remarkable comfort recreating Jennifer Coolidge’s iconic Bend and Snap from “Legally Blonde.”
“While Hernández’s moves aren’t ‘gay,’ his embrace of shaking his backside, and his own willingness to publicly share it, does signal his complete comfort with something many people consider feminine or ‘gay,'” Outsports wrote. “Hernández’s latest is a not-so-subtle message that the mandate of traditional, straight, macho athletes is fading.”
Then during the Dodgers World Series run in 2024, Hernández celebrated a clutch NLDS home run by bumping crotches with teammates at home plate.
“Hands down…. the gayest baseball celebration I’ve ever seen in my life,” one viewer commented.
Now comes this video from a game last week which starts with Hernández enjoying a Popsicle in the dugout and then reveals that while he’s never switch hit in a game, he is remarkably proficient with both hands.

While all of MLB is talking about Hernández’s scintillating October, gay baseball fans knew he was going to be a star two years ago.
Usually when I watch a clip like that, it starts with the phrase “Pay to Unlock.” Which, come to think of it, also describes the business model for the Dodgers’ cable network.
