Nancy Mace blows a gasket after learning filler & boob jobs count as gender affirming care

US Representative Sara Jacobs (D-Calif) just showed up for trans people and ripped Nancy Mace a new one in one fell swoop—and that’s something to be celebrated.

This morning on the House floor, Jacobs called out Mace and other Republican’s bizarre obsession with stripping gender-affirming care from trans teens and adults, and Mace was not happy. While debating the defense authorization bill that Mace has been trying to overload with anti-trans addendums, Jacobs pointed out something that every anti-trans politician hates hearing: when you start to attack gender-affirming care for trans people, it’s going to eventually come back around to bite cis people where it hurts.

“I would just like to point out,” Jacobs began, “that I think it’s very interesting that my colleague from South Carolina is so obsessed with the issue of trans people…when many people in this body have received gender-affirming care. Filler is gender-affirming care. Boob jobs is gender-affirming care. Botox is gender-affirming care.”

To which Mace responded by letting out a shriek of “Ridiculous! Absolutely ridiculous!”

This year, Mace has made it her personal crusade to harass trans people across the country and within her personal circles. Earlier on, when Representative Sarah McBride was first elected to Congress, Mace made it her personal mission to try and misgender McBride and force her and other trans staffers on the hill to use the bathroom corresponding to their dead gender. Mace later claimed that a handshake from an advocate for trans youth was tantamount to assault, and now, she’s trying to pass sweeping anti-trans measures that would strip even more trans Americans from access to care.

But McBride and other representatives aren’t having it, and they’re fighting back with arguably the most powerful weapon of all: common sense.

McBride posted a gleeful tweet concerning Mace’s dressing down by Jacobs.

And Mace, true to form, responded to the Jacobs on X with an antisemitic “joke” about Jacobs’ own appearance, to which Jacobs instantly clapped back.

What Jacobs said isn’t just an important point that needed to be made: it’s information that even the most rabid anti-trans ghouls need to hear. When the government gets into the habit of cutting off access to gender-affirming care, it’s not just a trans issue. Not only are breast augmentation, filler, and elective surgeries gender-affirming care, so are Viagra, menopause medications, and potentially even GLP-1s. It’s a slippery slope, and if bigots like Mace choose to die on this particular hill, they might soon find themselves hoist by their own petard.
