PHOTOS: NY/NJ Ballroom Alliance and New Pride Agenda host BBQ and ball

Hundreds of people joined a lively, festive atmosphere at the NY/NJ Ballroom Alliance and the New Pride Agenda's annual BBQ and ball at Marsha P. Johnson State Park in Brooklyn on July 26. The hours-long event, which kicked off at 3 p.m. and concluded at 8 p.m., brought out the ballroom community and LGBTQ individuals from across the city. Houses from the city's ballroom scene decorated their respective tables, games were available for youth, and a stage featured performances. Groups socialized at picnic tables throughout the park. The event was also supported by several sponsors, including Housing Works; Amida Care; American LGBTQ+ Museum; LGBT Center CEO Carla Smith; TransLatina Network; Callen-Lorde; Stonewall Community Foundation; and Amit S.
