Plasma has responded to claims that she was “sabotaged” by one of her Drag Race competitors.
For this week’s maxi-challenge, the eight remaining queens – Dawn, Mhi’ya Iman Le’Paige, Morphine Love Dion, Nymphia Wind, Jane, Q, Sapphira Cristál, and Plasma – were tasked with another design challenge.
However, instead of creating looks for a grand ball or a sickening doll, the contestants were asked to design and put together a “neo-goth” look from scratch.
While resident sewers – like Q, Nyphmia and Dawn – navigated the challenge with ease, Plasma struggled to connect to her goth side.
“My relationship with goth is, I don’t think, a relationship that I’ve ever had,” she joked in a confessional.
During the creative process, Plasma initially planned to create an outfit that would feature her signature “Old Hollywood” style.
However, with Dawn’s encouragement, she decided to “diversify” her look, claiming that it was something she wanted to do anyway.
“Dawn is right. I’ve already made this, like classic Hollywood silhouette,” the Rusical winner admitted in a confessional.
“My brain is running off the tracks trying to come up with an idea that will be innovative and new and fresh. What’s something Plasma doesn’t do? She doesn’t do contemporary, like Paris Hilton, sort of like Bratz doll s**t.”
Unfortunately, her 2000s meets 70s ensemble and matching shag coat was not a hit with the judges, resulting in her landing in the bottom two.
Shortly after Plasma sashayed away from the competition, a handful of fans flocked to social media to claim that the drag talent was sabotaged.
“Dawn, Nymphia and Plane Jane were drizzling a cocktail of doubt and sabotage on baby Plasma this week,” one person on X, formerly known as Twitter, wrote.
Another viewer posted: “Not Dawn basically sending Plasma home ???? she would’ve been safe with what she usually makes… maybe.”
However, it didn’t take long for Plasma to release a statement pushing back against the outrageous accusations.
“If my friends aren’t challenging me to try new things and expand my horizons by taking risks with my art then why tf would we be friends,” she wrote on X.
“Leave [Dawn] alone, aint no saboteur there sis. We’re not playing this game with my girls.”

Dawn also addressed the discourse by uploading a photo with Plasma, putting any notions of a feud or drama to rest.
“Girl, the timeline is blowing up rn here is a cleanse for you all,” she wrote on X.
On next week’s episode of Drag Race season 16, the queens will be tasked with making their voices heard by crafting a performance for a new drag anthem ‘Power’.
Famed choreographer Jamal Sims is set to sit on the panel, with alternating judge Ts Madison making a return.
Drag Race season 16 is available to stream on WOW Presents Plus and MTV.
