Frightening Video Captures 747 Grinding Engine on Runway During Aborted Landing
A frightening video posted to social media captured the moments a 747 cargo jet scraped an engine along the runway during a violent landing attempt in Luxembourg over the weekend.In a video posted to social media by aviation blogger kysanspotter and the aviation safety blog JACDEC, Cargolux Boeing 747-400F operating as flight CV-7545 was landing at Luxembourg Findel Airport (LUX) when it touched down hard and bounced into the air. The plane tipped ominously to its left side as it touched back down moments later, the left wing’s outer engine striking the runway in the process.
