NYC Youth Pride & PrideFest 2026

Youth Pride

On Saturday, June 27, Youth Pride runs from 11 am to 6 pm, and it's free. The event focuses on LGBTQIA+ kids and their families, and it's like one big fun block party. There will be carnival games, live performances, and free food. The best part is that it’s relaxed and small enough that you can enjoy it with younger kids and strollers, without navigating a huge crowd. The day kicks off with a rally for trans youth, where local activists and community partners gather to push for stronger protections. It kicks off in the morning and sets a tone for the rest of the day. Local organizations will be set up on-site, including gender-affirming care providers, mental health services, and advocacy groups. If you've been trying to find resources and haven't known where to look, you can take your time walking around to see what's there. PrideFest

Then on Sunday, June 28, PrideFest takes over 4th Avenue from 14th Street to Astor Place, also from 11 am to 6 pm. This is much bigger than Youth Pride and is the largest LGBTQIA+ street festival in the country. The day features live performances, food vendors, family activities, wellness resources, and booths from queer-owned businesses and nonprofits, along with a BookFest section for readers. It’s a full-day celebration of community, culture, and pride for NYC families. Psst… Check Out Resources for LGBTQ Youth and Families in NYC
