Three Shot With Pellet Gun Outside San Diego Gay Bars

San Diego’s CBS affiliate reports:

Three women were injured after two LGBTQ bars were the targets of a pellet gun shooting early Saturday morning, San Diego Police said. Just after 1 a.m. Nov 15, a person or persons inside of a Ford F150 fired several rounds “BB-type projectiles” at both the SRO Lounge on 5th Avenue and Flicks on University Avenue.

A similar string of pellet gun shootings happened in May of last year at several LGBTQ bars. Four 19-year-old men were found guilty of “hate crime-related incidents,” but Lt. Travis Easter with San Diego Police said it is too soon to connect the two strings of shootings. He also said this is not categorized as a hate crime yet, but the status could change as the investigation continues.
