Get ready to pose for some selfies! Fans of the smash HBO hit Heated Rivalry can visit these filming locations from the show’s first season, which was filmed mostly in the Canadian province of Ontario.
The show’s production was centered in and around Toronto, including Toronto-area sound stages where visual backgrounds were created on giant LED screens. These sound stages were the filming locations for many of those famous sex scenes, which aren’t open to the public.
The Sleeman Centre, in Guelph, Ontario, was used for the hockey scenes, including those sexy moments in the locker room. But public entry into those locker rooms is definitely not allowed, sorry. Also, many of the show’s scenes were filmed in private homes.
However, there are lots of filming locations that are easy to visit. Here are some of the popular sites where you can go and re-enact your favorite scenes:

Burridge Gym, McMaster University, Hamilton, Ontario: Ilya and Shane’s first meeting in the opening of episode 1
Ciao Bella, Hamilton, ON: Shane meets his parents at a restaurant, which was filmed here
Dundurn Castle, Hamilton, Ontario: in a scene when Ilya is back home in Russia, he goes jogging outside, and this castle is in the background
Relay Coffee Roasters, Hamilton, ON: Scott orders a banana blueberry smoothie from giggly Kip at this coffee shop, although in real-life there are no smoothies on their menu (if the management has any brains whatsoever, they will start selling these smoothies to Heated Rivalry fans immediately)
The Pink Tunnel, Hamilton, ON: In a scene again set in Russia, this graffiti-covered tunnel is in Hamilton, at a dead-end of Ferguson Ave., north of Young St., (is Ilya professing his love inside of this “pink tunnel” as a reference to a part of Shane’s anatomy?)
Chez Lavelle, Toronto, ON: Ilya and Shane hang out at this rooftop pool, a scene that is supposedly in Tampa, FL (although in the book it was in Nashville, TN)
FirstOntario Concert Hall, Hamilton, ON: The boys get all dressed up in their tuxedos to present an award at the MLH Awards, which was filmed in the auditorium of this theater
Park Hyatt, Toronto, ON: The awards ceremony after-party was filmed at this hotel’s restaurant, Joni, and Scott’s apartment was filmed in this hotel’s Presidential Suite
Barlochan Cottage, Lake Muskoka, ON: Ilya and Shane have a rather passionate rendezvous in this extremely posh lake house, which is set in Quebec in the show but really it is in southern Ontario
Le Tambour Tavern, Hamilton, ON: Shane breaks up with Rose in the scene filmed in this tavern
