A new sapphic spot in history is born: Sarah Paulson gets star on Hollywood Walk of Fame
The Hollywood Walk of Fame just got a lot more gay and iconic!

No visit to Los Angeles is complete without a night in WeHo or a visit to the Hollywood Walk of Fame — and thank goodness, the latter just got a lot gayer.
On Tuesday, iconic queer actress of stage and screen, Sarah Paulson, was honored with her very own star at a ceremony at the legendary Grauman’s Chinese Theatre. And considering the 50-year-old performer, known for her roles in shows like American Horror Story, Ratched, and The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story, already has an Emmy, Golden Globe, and Tony Award, it’s about dang time.

“I used to walk around the High School of Performing Arts in Manhattan — the public school I graduated from in 1993 — quoting lines from Julia Roberts movies, my lockers plastered with pictures of her,” she recalled. “All it took for this narcissistic teenage brain to become possessed was for someone to say in passing, rather casually, mind you, that I looked a little like her, and that was it. My quest to transform into her was born.”
Of course, she admitted it was “a short-lived quest” because “no one was looking for a poor man’s version” of Roberts. LOL. But through pursuing her own path, Paulson forged a lane all of her own and has made an indelible impact on LGBTQ+ performers and visibility.
Now, a new must-see stop for gay visitors in L.A. has been etched in concrete, and Paulson joins the likes of other LGBTQ+ icons who’ve received stars like Jim Parsons, Ricky Martin, Sir Elton John, Ellen DeGeneres, and Rock Hudson.
